Robotic knee replacement surgery (Velys™)

Robotic knee replacement surgery is a procedure in which a surgeon replaces the damaged knee joint surfaces with an artificial implant, using the VELYS™ robotic-assisted system to support precise positioning and alignment during surgery.

It results in pain reduction and improved movement ability. The procedure is recommended when other treatment methods (e.g. physiotherapy, medications, injections or braces) are no longer effective.

The ATTUNE™ Knee System is designed for long-term durability and stable performance.

Clinical data for modern knee replacements shows that around 85% of implants last 20 years or more. Longevity depends on factors such as patient activity level, overall health and adherence to rehabilitation.

The combination of the ATTUNE™ implant with the VELYS™ robotic-assisted system allows for precise positioning during surgery, which is an important factor in long-term implant performance.

Robotic knee replacement is performed for patients with:

As with any surgery, complications are possible, although uncommon. These may include:
