What's mommy makeover?

It’s one of the most popular plastic surgeries, designed specifically for mums.

Usually, it’s a combination of body contouring procedures (e.g. tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift, or augmentation) that help to return to your ideal shape. However, there are no set components, rather, every mommy makeover is tailored to fit your individual needs.

How does the recovery process look like?

If you have a full mommy makeover, you must understand that your recovery period will not be brief. Tummy tuck surgery, in particular, has a very long recovery period; you can expect to spend two to three months healing after this surgery. While not all of this period must be spent in bed (usually about two weeks of bed rest is all that is needed), you will not be able to lift more than 25 pounds. If you have small children, you will, therefore, need to enlist around-the-clock aid with childcare duties for several months.

Wellness travels were amazing from start to finish. Every email was replied to quickly, no matter what I asked I had a response that was helpful and reassuring. All paperwork was easy to fill out and scan back, and I had a call from the surgeon beforehand. When I got to Kaunas in Lithuania Tomas was waiting to pick me and my mum up and take us to our hotel ( that wellness travels booked for me) Tomas also dropped us to the hospital and back and so on. I just had my tummy tuck and liposuction with Dr Darius Bagdanavicius, he did a wonderful job, very neat incision tummy is flat as a pancake. I had wanted a mini tummy tuck because I am a wimp and don't like pain but Dr. Bagdanavicius recommended the full tummy tuck and I am so happy I listened to him, I experienced some discomfort on the first day which the nurses where swift to take care of. I must give Tomas and Karolis a mention aswell they have been amazing, I didn't need to worry about a thing they took care of every little thing for me. Travelling abroad for surgery can be so daunting. But after much research I decided to travel to Lithuania to Wellness Travels from the UK for a full tummy tuck with liposuction to my lower and upper abdomen, flanks, and inner thighs.

The driver who picked us up from the airport was so lovely and helpful, taking us to our hotel and all of our pre and post op appointments. The hotel was pretty good, had air con, was right in the town center and had all the necessary extras for someone who has had an operation like adapted shower and toilet (Kaunas city hotel) they are partnered with Wellness Travels.

The hospital where we had our operation was clean, the staff were so lovely, and the surgeon Giedrius Stankevicius, was very friendly and reassuring and explained everything in great detail.

I am now one month after my operation and things are healing well. I am happy with my results so far even though it is still early days. The clinic still respond to my emails with any concerns very promptly and their service has been second to none.

Overall I definitely recommend Wellness Travels for any surgery you wish to have, and would definitely return for future surgery. :)
