Dr. Gintautas Pocius

Areas of expertise: Bone, muscle, tendon, and ligament disorders; pain and dysfunction after injuries and surgeries; minimally invasive (arthroscopic) and joint reconstruction surgeries.

Specialization: Surgery of the foot, ankle, and knee joints (correction of foot deformities such as Hallux valgus, reconstruction after sports injuries, etc.).

Work and Education

  • Over 20 years of experience
  • Conducted over 10,000 orthopedic surgeries throughout career
  • Performs about 600 surgeries annually, including:
    • Approximately 400 Hallux valgus and other foot reconstruction surgeries and minimally invasive foot reconstructions
    • About 200 knee, ankle, and foot arthroscopic surgeries, tendon reconstructions, and regenerative cartilage surgeries
  • 2000: Graduated from Kaunas University of Medicine
  • 2001: Completed primary residency at Kaunas Third Clinical Hospital
  • 2005: Completed residency in orthopedic traumatology at Kaunas University of Medicine
